Can you post a link to the item you want to print? Most authors for multicolor prints also upload the 3mf file. Does that exist? Also, binary gcode can still be opened with the g-code viewer.

RE: Bg code

The ting i would print is here to vind on printables: https://www.printables.com/model/1222079-core-one-purgetrash-bin-remix-for-6x3mm-magnets/files

The reason is a bg code file is much smaler and a shorter printinf time, the model in the link prints in 1.5 hours with a bg code and in 5.5 hours with a g code.

A bianary g code is what a ment, i cant open it in prusa slicer.

RE: Bg code

You can't open bgcode or gcode in the slicer. It doesn't make sense either.

RE: Bg code

@Creator,

Two things stand out in your posts.

First, it appears that you have a fundamental misunderstanding of the purpose of bgcode versus standard.  Assuming identical slicer settings for a given model, the ONLY differences between the a .bgcode file and a .gcode file are the file size and the fact that the .bgcode version is not human readable.  There literally cannot be any difference in print times.  If your sliced version of the model does not match the print time estimates it is because you are using different slicer settings than the author that provided the .bgcode file.

Second, in the example you linked, the .3mf (Slicer project file) is the file that contains all of the slicer settings and the model(s) used by the author and is the file that is readable by Prusaslicer (.gcode and .bgcode files are not readable by any slicer software as they are the instructions to the printer to execute the print).  If you download that file, leave all settings unchanged, and slice the file again the resulting file should be identical in size to the .bgcode file attached in the post (assuming that the author uploaded the exact .3MF used to produce the uploaded printer files).

In general it is not good practice to use pre-sliced .bgcode or .gcode files downloaded (even from Printables) as the configuration of the slicer may not match exactly your printer, material or desired outcome.  Generally the .3MF file should be used as a starting point to configure the project for your specific printer and needs.

Regards,

Steve
