Banging Nextruder solved
A few weeks later…
Well well, finally Fedex brought the long awaited box with the printer, and Haribo!
Ordered on March 21st and delivered on June 13th. It is now 25 June, and responding late because I was on vacation and was also sick. Despite the fact that it is much later than planned, I want to share my first experience with you. Happy as a child 😄 i immediately started to unboxing. It took me about 16 hours before I made the first print. The Core One is not my first printer. I started years ago with the Anet A6 and after that I build the Prusa MKS3s more than once.
A lot of time was spent looking for screws and reading the manual. English is not my native language and that caused some confusion. In the end I was happy with the last job of placing the door. I finished!
Before I turned on the printer I calibrated the belts to 85 Herz but when I moved the nextruder back and forth the tension changed again and was too high again and I repeated the calibration.
It seems the problem was solved after that.
And then, the start…
The self-test not only made a lot of noise the nextruder was banging and shaked the printer quite a lot and takes up a lot of time that in my opinion wasn’t necessary. It took a few minutes and than the first print starts. The benchy was perfect!
But after the second print job, the nextruder hit the guides and was banging again for a few minutes. The self test aborted, X,Z axis problems.
I decided to solve the problem to full release the tension on the belts and pulling on them. Not only left and right but also the parts near the nextruder. I moved the nextruder in all directions. Afterwards I brought the tension back again to 85 Hz again and the the self-test went without any problems. Problem solved. I have now made some prints and honest, i’m very satisfied with the quality!
My first impression of the printer is that there has been a lot of attention to the design and the quality is ok. I read a negative point that the acrylic door is a bit cheaply made but I think it is ok. It’s possible that the quality has been adjusted from the last batches (8)?
A small negative point that I encountered was that the grille on the inside of the fans on the back wall with a tye rip in it, rubs against the belt.
So far!
