Prusa Connect horribly slow

Anyone else noticed this recently?
It's never been quick, but for the last week or so its just been getting progressively worse, and it's borderline unusable now.

Gcode sent from Prusaslicer, uploads to Prusa in seconds, but takes an absolute eternity to come back to the printer, many times it just stalls completely...and when trying to cancel the upload, remove from queue etc, everything is just so slow and unresponsive.

I only ever use ethernet, and have a 1GB Up/Down fibre connection.

I did notice a while back and switched to use Prusa Link (running smoothly since then).

Yeah thats what I've resorted to, I'm hoping only temporarily as I like the workflow of slicing and sending straight to connect from PS.

But for me, Prusa Link works also from PS.

At the right side of the screen, next to the "Printer:" dropdown box there's a cog. Click "add physical printer", add IP address and API key (get them from the display).

Then the bottom right button changes to "Export G-code" with a small "G>" button next to it. That one gives a dialog "send G-code to printer host", select "upload and print".

Yeah I used to have that option when I was using my old printer, but I dont have that option now. I'll look into it.
Annoying they really need to sort this out.
In this day and age its a trivial thing to send 10-20 Mb files across the internet in seconds.

I'm with gb160 - why after all this time is Prusa Connect such a problem?  Sometimes it's lightning fast, and sometimes it's slower than frozen molasses and I get errors saying the transfer failed.  What can't Prusa Slicer just skip Connect and go directly to the printer in a more simple and direct fashion?

Awful again.
Worked fine all morning, now 2 or 3 jobs completely stuck in the 'waiting to upload to printer' hell hole.

I also have PrusaLink setup as a backup. And I also run OctoPrint on an RPi so I can drag/drop the g-code onto that if needed. That said, I haven't noticed any issues like the ones you describe from the West Coast of the US. So perhaps it's a proxy issue?

Funny, just had this happen today too. Was fine all morning and then just went to suck. Link still works but obviously is more limited. Wish it got more love.

Also Connect was stuck on transferring, and this made it so link didn't want to copy the file either, so had to try to stop all the transfers in connect and restart the machine to get it to work.

The worst part when it gets stuck, is that cancelling transfer seems to do nothing…it’ll just ignore the command. Even restarting the printer doesn’t always help…upon restart it just goes back to ‘downloading’

Im tempted do just ditch Prusaconnect altogether, which is a shame because when it works it’s great…but as I said it’s bordering unusable lately.
