prusa connect - "Connection to real time updates failed. the page will use periodic updates instead."
Hi, I can't seem to get rid of this error. Checked clock on Core One and it's correct. Uloading files works and printing works but after a few minutes I get the error "Connection to real time updates failed. the page will use periodic updates instead." Progress indicator does not move and none of the telemtry data is updated. When I switch screens (select "Plater" and back to "Prusa Connect") it works for a few minutes until I get the same error.
Anone with the same issue? and solution?

same here, since at least 4 days, when i swicth tabs (plater - connect) sometimes works for hours, sometimes for minutes
Mini+, Core one+
RE: prusa connect - "Connection to real time updates failed. the page will use periodic updates instead."
same here in PrusaSlicer 2.9.4, on my smartphone I did not see the issue yet.

Same here...
RE:
Yep, exactly the same issue over the same timescale here, when using Prusa Connect to a Core ONE+ inside PrusaSlicer 2.9.4 on Windows 11 - the last three or four days. The Buddy 3D camera still works in real time, and I can upload files to the printer but control of the printer itself is badly broken. Despite the error prompt saying that "periodic" updates are still working, the only way to update it is to do so forcibly by jumping to one of the other tabs and then return to Prusa Connect. Using Connect via a web browser doesn't seem to have the same problem, slightly frustratingly, that still seems to be working okay.
Nothing has changed on my LAN and the problems seem to have coincided with the update of the Prusa app on my (Android) phone. A few issues with that too - the "Home" and "Disable Steppers" buttons being greyed out in the Control tab there, for example.
If a bunch of us are having issues at the same time, there must be a common theme.
RE: prusa connect - "Connection to real time updates failed. the page will use periodic updates instead."
Same here. Assumed it was a WIFI issue but happens on ETH as well. Must refresh the page EVERY TIME to see ANY changes in data.
RE: prusa connect - "Connection to real time updates failed. the page will use periodic updates instead."
I'll add i'm having the same issue.

Same here. Has anyone found a solution?

Been seeing this on my MK4S on ethernet and Windows PrusaSlicer so it's not just Core One.
RE: prusa connect - "Connection to real time updates failed. the page will use periodic updates instead."
And also on XL
RE:
Something's definitely different today, although I'm not sure it's actually "better".
While it isn't fixed there's a noticeable change in behaviour for me at least. I had Connect open in my browser earlier and it flashed up an on-screen message saying that the "app had been updated" and to refresh the window. I did - and have now got Connect open inside PrusaSlicer and no recurrence of the "Real Time Updates failed" tell-tale on either platform.
However it's clear that the bulk of the issues remain. The updates are still anything but "live", in a context where the Android Prusa app is accurately showing the printer's activity and progress with very, very little latency at all. That if nothing else demonstrates that there's nothing fundamentally wrong with the outward path between the printer and Connect via the LAN/internet and back to my phone.

This issue seems corrected (feb 11). Thx Prusa for the swift solution.

@bert-oris is it *still* fixed for you? Still a problem here - and also spotted it's been reported in the PrusaSlicer GitHub too.

I had started to wonder whether a Windows Update might be responsible for this issue but pu1k24 there is running Fedora. Can you guys still experiencing this post back with the OS you're using?
RE: prusa connect - "Connection to real time updates failed. the page will use periodic updates instead."
Mine is still doing this on an MK4s, MK4 + MMU3 and a MK3.5s. Haven't found a way to fix this yet either.

It isn't, or your problem wasn't the same as others are suffering from.
The Prusa Connect is defaulting to periodic updates and it doesn't even do that. Switching tab or refreshing by F5 loads the current situation and then it stays there. Mobile app seems to work fine, though.
RE: prusa connect - "Connection to real time updates failed. the page will use periodic updates instead."
For me it is not corrected either. I tried with Brave , Firefox, Edge and PrusaSlicer. All need to be refreshed to display updated data.
This lasts since early February, and I'm running on latest Windows 11 updates. My 3D printer is a Core One+.
RE: prusa connect - "Connection to real time updates failed. the page will use periodic updates instead."
Seems to be solved today. Fingers crossed.
RE: prusa connect - "Connection to real time updates failed. the page will use periodic updates instead."
Yes, a print is ongoing since beginning of this afternoon and we can follow layer after layer the update on PrusaSlicer and also Brave. So everything looks OK.
Fingers crossed here too.
RE: prusa connect - "Connection to real time updates failed. the page will use periodic updates instead."
Not corrected for me either sadly. Not only is this issue still ongoing (core one) but now files are no longer properly transferring via connect either. I now have to send via export to direct printer.
