Development for Prusalink/Prusaconnect
I mean this in the most respectful manner possible, truly, I do... but are these actively being worked on? I enjoy the prusa ecosystem, but I feel like we are being severely handicapped regardless of whether we use prusaconnect or prusalink. Prusaconnect would be great if we could have more than 1 GB of storage, but there is no timeline for when we can add or purchase more storage and I am a bit fed up of deleting a file to add another, just to repeat when I need to reprint the other. This is where you would think that Prusalink would come in handy, but it's missing the most basic features, such as a file search or the ability to have a shared file folder on the prusalink multi-instance. I am exploring other options, and I am currently testing SimplyPrint, which has some pretty awesome features such as telling you how much filament you have left on a printer. I would love to see things like that on Prusa.
I guess this was just a long-winded post just to see if there are plans to move forward with this software or if its more of a backburner priority for Prusa? Again, I mean this respectfully, but if it's the latter, then I need to migrate to another solution.
RE: Development for Prusalink/Prusaconnect
They all started for different reasons. I think it is time for consolidation. Prusaconnect and the Mobile app should have the same backend code and capabilites. Also a "local Network" function for Prusaconnect to eliminate the need for PrusaLink.
Supporting 3 variants of software when one would do doesn't make sense currently.
RE: Development for Prusalink/Prusaconnect
I agree that consolidating would be a great step in the right direction, however it seems like there is little to no interest by Prusa to continue improving upon the foundation that they have laid. I suppose I am just going to have to suck it up and buy a couple more raspberry pi's and migrate to simplyprint.
