Adding an endoscopic cam to an enclosed Prusa XL 5T printer.

Recently, I received my Prusa XL 5T printer along with the Prusa XL enclosure. I am looking into the best way to mount a streaming camera inside of the enclosure, to view videos of the build process. I believe that an endoscopic camera would work the best, so I am wondering if others may have done this and what issues I should consider along with which cameras are best for this task. From my research, it appears that Prusa Connect does not support streaming, which is too bad, but I can use a properly configured Raspberry Pi to show me the video stream.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can share.

Hello, sounds interesting. You are absolutely wright, it is too bad that Prusa Connect does not support streaming. What type of camera will you use? How will you make the setup for the Raspberry? Actually I use a Reolink camera in my enclosure. The problem is, that this camera is too big to show the view between the toolhead and the bed.

Best regards

I'm in the process now. I have a Raspberry-Pi connected to an endoscopic camera via USB. The endoscopic cam is USB-c, so I am waiting for an adapter to connect it to the Raspberry-Pi. We're figuring out the mounting so I should have a solution I can post within the next few days. I will post complete configuration along with some sample pics after we get it up and working.
