Hi everyone,

I have a dual-printer setup consisting of a Prusa XL and a Prusa MK3. My Raspberry Pi running OctoPi is actively controlling the MK3, but I am also utilizing its webcam interface to host a USB camera that is physically installed on and monitoring my Prusa XL.

To bridge this camera feed into Prusa Connect for the XL, I'm using the community plugin prusa_connect_uploader (by rizz360 on GitHub). The integration works great for pushing standard snapshots to the XL's cloud dashboard!

However, I am trying to optimize this remote monitoring experience and would love to get your insights on a few limitations:

1. Continuous Live Streaming in Connect

Is there a more seamless, continuous way to view a constant video stream directly through the Prusa Connect web interface for the XL, rather than relying strictly on periodic static snapshots?

2. High-Frequency Snapshots (0.5s - 1s Interval)

Locally on my OctoPi instance, I can set a very fast snapshot interval (every 0.5 to 1 second), which creates a smooth, near real-time visual feed. Currently, Prusa Connect refreshes the XL's feed every 10 seconds, which feels quite laggy to monitor. Is there a workaround to allow Prusa Connect to accept high-frequency updates for a smoother, pseudo-RT stream experience?

3. Camera Zoom Control via Connect

Is there any existing method, plugin setting, or upcoming feature that allows us to control the webcam's digital or hardware zoom directly from the Prusa Connect UI, without having to log back into the local OctoPrint server of the MK3?

Would love to hear how other multi-printer users are optimizing their webcam feeds on Prusa Connect under similar setups.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Thought I'd share a revelation with the latest version of Prusaslicer: Sliced an object with extruder #3, and noticed that the slicer was using the default extruder (#1) for support. Never came up before! So looked at the print setting section, under multiple extruders, and the print components (support, infill, perimeter extruders) all had extruder #1 selected. Could not be changed to 0 - which would define the default selected extruder.
Results are in the attached build plate images. <----- sorry, cannot upload images.....!
Surely I'm not expected to reset all these to the selected object extruder every time I make a change??
Turns out what needs to be done, rather unintuitively, is to change the 'Support Material Raft/Skirt Extruder' to 0 - then the system defaults to the selected extruder for everything. Last picture, #2. <----- sorry, cannot upload images.....!
Just an FYI for others who may struggle with this
