PSU disassembly.
  • My printer arrived with the PSU hardwired in place.  The enclosure shows the psu being mounted externally. This would require removing the power supply from the unit, and there are no instructions how to do that.  Furthermore, there is no indication that the existing wiring (which is so beautifully  tie-wrapped and tightly routed) will be able to reach where ever it’s meant to be mount.  Given the very specific instructions so far, I think we’re missing something here.
Assembly images seem to suggest that the psu should have come separate from the printer.  Do I start snipping tie wraps? Dis-mounting the psu?
  • thanks for any help.

Well, there are specific instructions for removing the PSU from the printer in the Enclosure assembly instructions. Please see steps 2A, 2B, 2C , or 2D here (depending on your printer model).
