Original Prusa Enclosure open source? Third party production? CAD (STEP files) for mods?
Would community have available open source CAD files for ease of future modding?
Can we expect cheaper ("non")original prusa enclosure from third party sources any soon?

Possibly. Joseph Prusa has put out that they will likely keep many of the stl files secret longer because of pirating.

Yeah, but its funny, because "open source" is part of Prusa's brand...

Open source does not mean openly release on day one.

I already have flimsy Ikea Lack enclosure, but I would prefer to switch to more rugged - metal enclosure like original, but 300euros without factory included filtration system is just too much IMHO. So thats why I am waiting/expecting official CAD release for enclosure so it it reaches sub 250euros price by different vendors. Eather way, I guess it would be reverse engineered and for sale in less than a month.

I find it expensive also, but I will probably buy one eventually.
