Does the filter add on have multi speeds?
I have installed my filter and it only has a high speed. You press the button once to start it and it runs very high. I press it again and it slows down for about 10 seconds then returns to the high speed. Is this correct?
Press one time - very fast
Press twice - runs slower than speeds back up like it was running before
Press third time - off
Thanks much!
RE: Does the filter add on have multi speeds?
I've been using it for over a year now, daily on 2 machines and 1 speed works just fine. This is printing primarily PETG, and a little ASA & PLA. I turn the fan on when the printer is warming up and off about 10 minutes after the print is complete. You can automate this some with a cheap smart plug.
Why do you want to slow it down?

It is running in a room with a TV so slower speed would be quieter. Some PLA I noticed give off a smell I think requires less filling than like say ABS? That I would like to have a slower speed.
Does yours act weird when pressed twice like mine?

Yes it's not quiet, but mines in my basement so it doesn't bother me. If you've got basic electric skills you could probably easily wire in a potentiometer to control the speed. I'm not sure you could get that functionality with the existing board unless they changed something. My suspect is that it would require a different circuit board
Yes of you hit the button 2x quickly it acts weird because you tried to restart the motor while it was still spinning.

I think I can live with it, just wanted to make sure something was not wrong with it while it is under warranty. Thanks for your time and confirmation that I don’t have an issue with my hardware. 😀
