Table and Storage
The Ikea Trotten table top matches the specs Prusa has provided for the space the printer needs exactly...almost like they had it in mind.
I bought that and mounted on top of two Alex drawer units which adds a ton of drawer storage that I really needed (they also have unit that is single door with shelf). I have wheels installed to make it easy to move around for now. There is plenty of room for my two dry boxes I'm using to feed filament into the printer. I don't really plan to use the provided spool holders.
Next, I need to figure out how enclose the printing area. I'll experiment using the Ikea box cardboard until I figure out what I really want.
RE: Table and Storage
Nice idea. Could you please post some pictures and supply the Ikea order number?

For enclosure, this thing looks interresting: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/MkqrQzyjRGo
RE: Table and Storage
I am getting ready to build a enclosure for my XL. I will be using T2020 slot framing with acrylic panels. I think I will make the front and side panels so they slide up for easy access. I also plan on moving the power switch up to the front of the printer near the control panel. The spool holder and filiment loading tubes will stay in the same location but outside the enclosure. My base for the printer is 29" deep 24" wide 9 " tall for storage underneath . I put leveling feet on the base for easy leveling.
RE: Table and Storage
Would love to see photos of the Ikea setup. I'm trying to figure out a solution where I can put the XL, MK4, mini all on the same flat surface.

I plan on reusing a Bush 4' Corner Desk and Hutch that I had for a network lab for my XL table and enclosure. To give you an idea I just finished setting up the straight desk and hutch for my two MK4's below.
For both desks/hutch setups I'll use appropriate plexiglass and aluminum extrusion to make the enclosure and build it into the hutch over the printers. I plan on having venting out a window to run ventilation using appropriate filtering "charcoal" and others. The rest of the build is a work in progress so that I can start using more than just PLA and PETG.

You will need almost 3 ft of height for the XL. The feed tubes are pretty high above the printer. Also front to back 29 to 30 inches to be safe for a enclosure. The XL is a very large printer.
