At under $75 is this the cheapest XL enclosure yet?

This is my first forum post so if I muck it up please be kind…

I guess this falls into the “even a blind pig finds an acorn once in a while” category.  Got my XL Feb 14th and after building it I found out it fits fine on top my offices filing cabinet. Not having to buy a table, well that was a bonus.  Once I had my XL up and running properly I wanted to find a cheap temporary enclosure for it, at least until I found something I really liked.  And even more importantly something that was really easy to use.  Now the XL is my second 3D printer with the  first being a Creality CR-10.  When removing the CR-10 (and it's enclosure) from my office I noticed that the “Creality Official 3D Printer Enclosure Fireproof & Dustproof Protective Cover Constant Temperature Tent” which I bought on Amazon was a perfect fit for the XL.

...Ah, this is getting too long so I’ll just summarize and add a picture.  The enclosure is currently on sale at Amazon and costs $44, the added LED lighting $16, total coast $60.  And an added bonus is that the entire tent unfolds from the frame and the frame can be removed in under 2 minutes giving you total access to the printer.  I still need to do quite a bit of testing but if this works out it might just be my permanent printer enclosure.

LOL, this is basically a grow tent. If you should ever want to switch from 3D printing to home-growing Cannabis, all you'll need is a good light source.

I think I might have that beat.... Worked so good that I had to prop the top open because it was approaching 50°C.

The more I think about it, it might actually be the most expensive enclosure because I had to buy an XL to get it. .....

Hmmm... I do have an "Aero-Garden" hydroponic setup that has an LED light about 6x12 inches.  Works great too until I try transplanting my herbs after which they get kinda droopy.  But that's a great idea, I might actually buy another tent to use for growing tomatoes.  Can't get a descent tomato in FL at any supermarket.

I know you've got the item description in your original post but that seemed to turn up a bundle of options when I searched for it. Do you happen to have a link to your specific purchase and/or the dimensions of your enclosure?

I hope these links come thru correctly.

So I bought this one from Amazon (looks like the price went up a little)

I zip tied these lights to the upper supports.

kmdtcs, Not sure why the enclosure now has a "Comgrow" label on it when mine says "Creality" but I went to my Amazon order page and pulled both links so they are what I ordered.

Thank you, that makes more sense that they changed the name for some reason. None of the creality models I could find quite matched the pictures you had posted. This one looks like the same thing though just with a different label. Is it still working out well for you? Seems like way less hassle and more flexible than any other options I've seen so far.

I like these ideas. I noticed the latest firmware has a setting for Prusa's upcoming enclosure. It will be interesting to see what they've come up with, though I'm sure it will be more than $75.

I love it and use the same "technology" (should be patented!) for my resinprinter.  Controlled PTC-heater underneath to get it upto 35 Celcius. No incoming light.
The next best (and also cheap way) is to print your own 2020 profiles (diagonelly) glue them together, put hinges etcetera in.
Fill the faces with Cardboard. I guess also < $75

We will do what we have always done. We will find hope in the impossible.
