TPU, can't get second filament sensor to sense filament

I'm using Fiberlogy Fiberflex 40D

Any tips on how I can get the printer to load the filament?  I can't get it passed the second filament sensor at the extruder, I have loosened the bowden tube from the side sensor to make it easier to load and using PLA to fool the side sensor.

I have tried this on two toolheads but get same problem.

I print TPU by bypassing the bowden tube entirely and feeding directly to the toolhead from an overhead spool.

You can disable the side sensor from the printer's menu but if it's just for occasional use then fooling it is also OK.

Thanks for the tip, seems like the solution to the problem. In the end I managed to get the filament all the way just by bypassing the side sensor and pushing the filament a little harder into the bowden tube. Had to open the idler door though to direct it correctly into the extruder. This would not work with softer TPU, so I will take your advice and apply it next time I use TPU 🙂
