Printing PLA or PETG with soluble support

I tried using BVOH to support PLA, but the BVOH will not stick to the PLA.

I have some old SpoolWorks Scaffold, but since that is no longer available, I wonder if it is even worth trying.

Has anyone successfully used soluble support on the XL?

Thanks!

Jon

I've had flawless results using FusedMaterials PVA for supports @ 200c. Supplied straight from a drybox all the way through the side filament sensor.

Have not tried BVOH yet on the XL, but I do remember having serious adhesion issues when I tried back with the MMU.

Thank you!

In Prusa Slicer, I can select BVOH as a filament, but in the XL, my filament choices are limited to PLA, PETG, ASA, PC, PVB, ABS, HIPS, PP, FLEX, and PA.  When I try to print something using BVOH filament, the XL always complains about a filament mismatch, but there does not seem to be any way to select BVOH in the XL itself.  How can Prusa recommend using BVOH when it cannot be used on the XL?  Which filament type did you select when you used FusedMaterials PVA?
