how to print different colour text on XL Multi-tool
I'm new to multitool & multi-colour printing. I'm tying to print name plates, black with white text on top. I have text extruded .2 mm above the surface of the 1.8 mm thick tag. I thought if I was using .2 mm layer thickness and changed to the white the extruder at 1.8 mm it should work but it is printing a thin layer of white on top of the black tag before doing the white text. What am I not understanding about this?

If you upload a zip-compressed 3mf project file, we can take a closer look but the simplest is to move the color change up one layer in the slicer. The way the preview shows the height at which it changes is somewhat confusing and non-intuitive.
In any case, I doubt you'll have much fun with a single layer of text, especially white. I would use at least 3 layers.
