How do I print ASA on this damn thing?

2T XL here, struggling to print ASA without a massive amount of warping and failed prints.

My printer is fully enclosed, I take VOC leakage extremely seriously because I have reptiles and pets that I do not want harmed. I use every printer fully enclosed, I will not compromise with a clam-shell or partial enclosure, my animal's safety is paramount. I understand this printer may not have been designed to be fully enclosed but I have taken measures to mitigate the issues. All XY gantry parts are PA6-CF as well as most of the nextruder parts, I also have a small amount of fresh air to keep the PSU and buddy board cool. Above the bed the enclosure is around 45-50c, the coolest areas of the enclosure are ~34c. If I try to heat the entire enclosure above 40c either the Mbed MCU or buddy MCU will overheat.

What is the path forward here? Do I try and more directly cool the electronics to reduce the incoming air? Or is this printer simply not ideal for high temperature materials, did I buy a $2500 machine that can only do PLA and PETG?

Thank you all in advance, hope your prints are going better than mine.

See my thread on printing ABS-CF. Also need high temperature, maybe the same issue. The air temperature in the enclosure is not hot enough.

If heating the bed to max temperature for 30min. Then print something fairly quick works. Also if you can monitor the temp in the enclosure.

Yeah I probably should have just replied to that thread instead but since I don't have the official enclosure I think we will have very different solutions.

I don't think I have a problem with a lack of heat, maybe my tent's material is better insulating than acrylic because I can easily hit 50c when I have it heat the entire bed. My theory is that I have too much air turbulence, the cooling air for the electronics is interfering with the heated air above the bed. One of the reasons I didn't use the official enclosure or something like the sumo is that there always seems to be a gap in the front panels. Maybe you have too much cold air coming in through those gaps since the filter is creating negative pressure.

But if you are having problems with prusa's own enclosure the hopes for me are quite low. It may be that the XL is only suited for lower temp materials, which would be a massive let down.

I don't have any solutions, I can just confirm that I printed ASA just fine with my 2T XL. But I wanted to share the specifics of my setup in case any of the information might be relevant. First of all I printed on days where the ambient temperature was pretty warm, around 32C. But because that meant we had all windows open in the house there was a _lot_ of draft, so I cobbled together a makeshift wind-breaker that surrounded the top of the printer on 3 sides (the back being against the wall). Simply imagine a piece of cardboard 60cm high that wrapped around the upper 30cm of the top of the printer and sticking another 30cm above it. Used Fillamentum ASA with the default PrusaSlicer profile. Admittedly my prints weren't very high (only several cm)
