XL multi-tool tool head calibration failure
After completing installation of the 5 tool heads on my fully assembled XL printer I kept getting failure to calibrate for tool head 5. The pins would prevent the head from being connected after the alignment process. I found no posts or help on the problem but eventually discovered the issue.
I removed the back cover to see the back of the tool head supports and noticed the supports were very close to the belt running behind them. In fact tool head 5 support was touching the belt. I figured this was not correct and when trying to push away from the belt the entire line of support moved forward slightly away from the belt. Although all the screws were quite tight before pushing forward I was able to tighten them more after pushing forward. It appears the bracket they were screwed into was not flush against the support rail it was resting in. I reset the printer and restarted the entire process of setting up the printer and all tool heads were calibrated correctly with no issues.
Hope this might help someone and prevent the hours and days of trouble shooting I completed before discovering the issue.
