Single tool head to dual tool head
Hi everyone,
I currently have a Prusa XL with a single tool head. My company recently purchased a second extruder for me, but I only have the extruder assembly itself—none of the other parts that come with the full multi-tool upgrade kit.
I’d like to upgrade to dual extrusion without buying the entire kit (since I already have one extra head and don’t want it to go to waste).
Could anyone advise:
What additional components are absolutely required to complete the upgrade? Is it possible to purchase these parts individually (like the tool dock, wiring harness, tool board, etc.) instead of the full kit? Any tips or gotchas from those who have done this upgrade?
