Left hand side vs right hand side according to setup instructions?
I just want to clarify Prusa's installation instructions. Throughout the instructions they refer to Lhs and Rhs. Are they talking about my left, or the printers left hand side? If they are talking about the printers left hand side, which orientation is the printer in? I think that with the printer on the bench, facing you, with the screen towards you, the Lhs should be on your Rhs, but maybe not?
XL is not a ship even though they try to define the orientation as if it were ... the usage varies between the sides as defined at the beginning and sides facing whichever part you are currently workin on .. luckily it all fairly obvious once you realise it isn't consistent.

I've just started to assemble mine, and have realized (when cables didn't reach), that I have lhs and rhs mixed up. I was going to start again, and I wanted to be sure that I was on the same page as the instructions. Looking from the front, with the screen facing you, is lhs on the left, or the right?

Thanks for your answer Diem, but I'm still not clear on this. As the printer is turned during assembly, my own lhs and rhs remains constant, but various sides of the printer change in relation to me. In the assembly manual, when they refer to lhs is this the constant of the printer, or of me?
It's a while since I built mine so the details are hazy but I found that reading the comments at every build stage cleared up the confusion, you (and I) are not the first so someone had usually posted the correct orientation.

Cheers Diem, it's built now, so I can start calibrating things. Does the XL usually come with some filament? Mine didn't.
I think it depends on when you ordered and therefore how long you waited; there were a couple of consolation gifts in the pack - and I've forgotten whether mine did or not. I do still have a very large pack of gummy bears 'though. I guess that most new owners have other printers and so stocks of filament, it's not exactly an ideal first printer - but it has got a couple of friends interested in the scene.
