Incorrect Z Height after for a few moves tool change

I've had plenty of successful prints over the last 6 months with my XL 2 extruder. I noticed in the last week or two that the z height starts incorrectly after each tool change. It moves through the first couple of moves a few mm above the correct location, then shifts to the correct height and proceeds with the rest of the layer normally. It happens for both extruders after switching from one to the other, but doesn't happen on new layers when a tool change doesn't occur. When I use a wipe tower, the error happens on the first part of the wipe tower before correcting itself. When I don't use a wipe tower, the error happens on the first part of each layer.

I have gone through all the recalibrations, confirmed that the g-code heights are consistent, looked for mistaken ramping parameters, searched google and still cant seem to find a culprit. Has this happened to anyone else and are there solutions?

I have exact the same problem. Tried everything. Even chat gpt. Nothing helps...

RE: Incorrect Z Height after for a few moves tool change

After doing further research I found out that enabling "wipe into this object's infill" and/or "wipe into this object" triggers this unusual behavior, must be some sort of bug... Simply disabling this option does not disable it after reslicing, its still there in the fresh gcode. Even restating prusa slicer did not help. Only after clean reinstall of the prusa slicer things normalized.

In between research, before reinstalling, inserting : M400 ; wait for all motion to finish

                                                                                               T[next_extruder] ; simply switch tools

into tool change custom gcode instead of default one fixed the problem but the tool change was slow and next tool wasn't preheated.

The funny thing is that I did not mess with the custom gcodes other than start gcode, because of some other issues I'm having, loadcell problem "homing error Z 17301"while bed leveling probing. I read somewhere that the EMI from the heater interfere with the load cell signal. S I inserted some lines to the start gcode to disable heater while probing. This works great, no 17301 error any more. It just takes a bit longer cause it needs to reheat the nozzle.

print errorI am having the same problem, of after a tool change, the first segment of the layer prints in the air and not on the part. I donnt have the wipe function turned on. Any other ideas? I have tried printing with gcode and bgcode.
