Calibration/Setup/Printing with a disabled Heatbed Tile?

Can I do literally anything while I have a heatbed tile disconnected?

I recently purchased and assembled a 5T XL. Despite my best effort, I somehow managed to damage heatbed tile #7 during assembly (damaged the corner and broke the trace).

I'd like to continue with the basic setup items like calibrating dock positions and filament sensors but, with one heatbed tile down, it would seem that I am completely prevented from even getting through the initial boot process. I am just stuck waiting for the replacement heatbed tile to arrive?

Yes, you are stuck for now; if you had waited to damage it until after calibration you could have fudged it to use just one side of the bed for smaller prints.

Cheerio,

UPDATE: managed to scrape the trace ends and get some solder in there. Threw some kapton tape on it and we are up and running.

Currently calibrating dock positions. Will still replace the damaged heatbed tile when its replacement gets here.
