Advice or Suggestions on repair

Hi. Have this weird issue with Prusa XL 5 Tool w/enclosure

I mostly print from the center of the bed. The last few prints I printed toward the rear of the print bed. I noticed alot of debris on the right side.

Then it failed to park the Toolhead 3.

I thought it might need calibration. Y calibration was fine. On x-axis calibration, this weird shaking thing happened.

A T10 also fell out from somewhere and landed beneath the print bed. I've been looking around for any missing screws and aven't noticed any. Then I noticed the belt was frayed.

Probably need to replace the belt. But would anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what should be my next steps to fix this?

I contaced Prusa support but they haven't gotten back to me yet. Probably need to replace that belt. But I am not sure why this is happening.

I also noticed that the tool holder feels like it "jumps" when moving in the x direction at certain spots (180mm - 360mm range). When this jumping/skipping occurs, the tool holder has the tendency to want to move back or forward in the y direction.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Prusa XL 5T with Enclosure
Firmware 6.2.5

Printer is about 3 months old.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I contaced Prusa support but they haven't gotten back to me yet.

Was that by email?  Use the chat function to contact support, have your serial number ready (rear of printer) and be ready to supply these pictures/videos - or direct support to this thread.

Cheerio,

Yes, by email. They have gotten in touch with me yesterday morning. I figured time zone + other requests delayed their response. They are very helpful.

Will check out the chat function. Thanks.

RE:

It might be that the belt is rubbing against the back of one of the tool dock supports - there is very small tolerance between the belt and the tool dock. Try tightening the bolt that holds the tool docks and fixes it to the aluminium frame - check out which dock has wear on the back.
During printing, especially with IS, the dock supports vibrate so tigthening the bolts now and then can save you a next belt. I've also noticed that there is play when the toolchanger picks up the tool - when you slightly poke the toolhead it will wobble, and that wobbliness could potentially also contribute /affect the dock support with time as it is an extra source of vibration/misalignment that can loosen up the screw with time - there's a post of a guy that has fixed the wobble by printing and installing extra washers ( https://www.printables.com/model/779361-washer) - I've installed that one and it has so far solved my toolchanger crashes 🙂
