RE: XL pauses does nothing for over 10 seconds and oozes all over the print
Thanks for the response. That's quite a critical bug for the current "stable" release!
RE: XL pauses does nothing for over 10 seconds and oozes all over the print
HA, i had to check i posted this starting over a year ago in 2023.
i have not used my XL in a few months now. the last time the Firmware bricked the machine and i went back to some release candidate that seemed to work and it would crash constantly and layer shift as well.
i logged into the forums today on 3/27/2025 and had a look at the reviews for firmware 6.2.2 and nothing has changed between the firmware and the slicer issues i had to roll back to slicer 2.6.1 at one point to get work out.
Prusa has turned itself into a joke.
Bambu H2D looks great!

Prusa released a fix for our problem, but I haven't seen a official announcement for that.
The Problem was caused by the connectors of the printheads / Dwarfboards.
They release a overworked Nextruder housing:
Tutorial cable connector cover (XL)
Printfiles for the replacementparts are under Nextruder:
XL printable parts

Really they think the issue is the cable connection, that would generate its own error with loss of communication with the tool head sensors.
I don't think so.
I'm sure there are situations when you are at the extreme ends of motion and the cable connector might be intermittent but that does not solve the most common stuttering and pausing the machine has.
You can see an obvious behavior difference with firmware version and slicer settings.
The issue is the microcontroller in the XL is too slow to keep up with all the non-optimized code.
