Question on estimated printing times
I am very new to 3D Printing and I am trying to convince our marketing team to invest in a 3D printer. We had an idea that if we could take pictures at small client events, and 3D Print a small 4" figurine of them by the end of the event, we'd get approval to buy a machine.
I know that this is an over-simplification, but I am trying to get a sense of how long this type of print would take and ultimately how many 3D printers we would need to purchase to handle events of 8-10 people. The Prusa XL with 5 toolheads seems to be a good option so that multiple colors can be loaded and printed without the lag time associated between switching on a single toolhead.
Can anyone estimate what a 5-color print might look like for a 4" figurine on the Prusa XL and what it might be on a CORE One?
Thanks in advance!
RE: Question on estimated printing times
Prusa slicer time predictions are realy presise so download it put the model and printer that you woud use slice it you will get a time to that time add around 30 minutes to be safe for the printer taking time to heat up perge material from all 5 tools add the time off probing and thats all. I use xl 2t but for a core one you need much more time becose coolor change takes around 30 s if i remember corectly for xl it is max 5 s from my use a nother important part is that filament has to be rely dry and dont turn of wipe tower.
