RE: MK4S High Flow Nozzle
I’ve bought e3d ObXidian HF for mk4 and it’s waste of money. Prints look like under extruded garbage and I had to go back to v6 ObXidian with adapter 🙁
mini+ [bondtech dual drive, revo, reprinted with PA11-CF and ASA] lives in photo tent.
mk4 upgraded to S with mmu3 and gpio (with some parts reprinted) lives in prusa enclosure.
Voron 0 ldo kit with dragon burner and…
RE: MK4S High Flow Nozzle
Oh that's interesting. Is it just the HF nozzles in general sacrifice quality for speed?
RE: MK4S High Flow Nozzle
It should’t be. I also have voron 0 with hf nozzles and its beats mk4 with precision, speed and it can truly print abs/asa/pc/pa with out any problem… So I would expect that if print petg calibration cube which does not cut time with hf, print should be identical in quality.

RE: MK4S High Flow Nozzle
I think you are having a different issue, or a blockage. Are you using generic filaments? Or one which has been tuned already?
I bought 1 Obxidian and 1 Brass for a Prusa XL (I'll only be doing abrasives through one nozzle.)
It prints really well, PETG in particular is much more glossy implying a more thorough heating.
My main issue with it is that the printer/slicer seems bottlenecked somewhere else.
I'm running a large print for production which is nearly all perimeters.
0.4mm Stock Nozzle gives 1 day 6 hours with a max volumetric flow of 12mm/s
0.4mm HF Preset fives me 1day 6 hours with a max volumetric flow of 24mm/s
Any ideas anyone?
