Filament Change Under Firmware 6.4.1

I ran into an issue this weekend and just wondering if anybody else has seen it or how to correct.

I installed the new 6.4.1 firmware in my XL5 and one of the features included is the ability to change a filament on an extruder that is not currently printing.  I have a print I am trying to do that has 6 colors so this seemed helpful.  Started the print.  The filament in question that would need to be changed was in EX3.  The color finished and while the printer using EX2 I decided to change the color on EX3.  This process all worked very well except moving back to EX2 after the change and resume printing.  When the print resumed on EX2, the bed was too high by about 1mm and the extruder started colliding with the print and the it knocked off my supports causing me to abort the print.

I am guessing my alternative is to add a M600 command and do the change manually, but has anybody else experienced this?  Any known fix yet?
