Exact length (height) of the XL side extrusions?
I'm going to order 8020.net extrusions for the front corners of my XL (whether this will reduce vibration or not I'd like this for a different mounting of my Rubbermaid 21 cup filament dry boxes). I'll order them pre-drilled for anchor fasteners and install them with roll-in nuts.
Unfortunately I didn't measure these extrusions when I was assembling my XL and now it is a bit difficult to know that I have a correct measurement. Can anyone tell me the exact length of these extrusions or point to a Prusa reference that lists them? (And just to be clear, I'm talking about the vertical extrusions at the back corners and midway along the sides of the XL, the frame pieces, I obviously need to match this length in the two new extrusions I install in the front corners).
RE: Exact length (height) of the XL side extrusions?
I measured them at 400mm.
Frankly, I think you're wasting your time and money on those additions. The vibrations aren't from a lack of rigidity. Adding more frame won't do anything but increase the cost and make your XL so different as being unable to handle virtually any enclosure that's built for the XL.
I suggest forgetting about this mod. It will prove to be ineffective.

Hey @barrittworks, did you do this? I bought 400mm profiles but they are like a couple mms short.
RE:
@chicken-2 I've been away from the forum for a bit and am just seeing your posting now. Sorry I never followed up because the information left earlier is inaccurate for my XL.
When I had a chance to *carefully* measure the original extrusions (even though they were installed, a pain) I got 403mm. I ordered extrusions from 8020.net back in January (at 403mm) and installed them and they fit perfectly. There was a bit of luck in this as 8020 doesn't promise extreme accuracy in their extrusion cuts (I've found them to be pretty close over the years). I'm not finding my notes from January, but my memory is that they came in just slightly under 403mm, 402 point something AND I had concluded after I placed my order that I might need just under 403, so it all worked out without my recutting them. Obviously getting the length right is important as when you tighten the end fittings on these extrusions you don't want them distorting the top rails.
This modification has been great on my printer. I easily installed the EnXlosure (with redesigned front pieces that mount the door hinges in the new corner t-track). As I said at on the original post, this was so that I could mount Rubbermaid 21 cup dry box holsters on these new front corner extrusions. I've also found them convenient for mounting other things to the t-tracks they provide (such as magnets for my side cutters and pliers on the right, etc.).
