Do we really need the PFTE tubes on the XL?
I am having all sorts of trouble with the PFTE tubes on my XL5T. The black fittings on the nextruder require over 40KG of force to release and one of the filament sensors on the side of the machine greatly increases the resistance of the filament to be pulled to the nextruder. Strange, but pushing the filament to the nextruder from the spool is easy; pulling the filament from the extruder requires a lot of force. I have resorted to routing the filament from my machine mounted dry boxes directly to the nextruder with no PFTE tube.
I am designing a fitting that will attach to the nextruder umbilical half way up that manage the filament path.
Anyone else having trouble with the side mounted filament sensor jamming the filament?
