Build build it all in one step with enclosure?
Hi everyone,
I just ordered a Prusa XL with 5 tool heads and the enclosure. As far as I know, you’re supposed to assemble the printer first and then disassemble parts of it to install the enclosure upgrade. Is it possible to skip the disassembly and build everything with the enclosure right from the start?
If so, is there an official assembly manual from Prusa for this approach?
Or do you think it’s a bad idea to try assembling it this way?
Best regards,
Floh

If you want to make things easier for yourself then I would recommend connecting the electrons to the expansion board when you're first working behind the printer. Then continue on.
Also, skip putting on the extrusion liner in the front 2 sides.
It really isn't a lot. The complaints you heard were from early adapters who had to redo a lot more stuff on their hotted and belts. Enjoy your build. Ask questions as needed with us here or with support. And read comments from other users/
RE:
Hi, in the meanwhile I got my Prusa XL built and followed the official order. So finish the main build with 5 extruders, then start with enclosure. It's not that much what you have to disassembly. Especially because the base build already have upgraded parts (for higher temps) which are shipped in enclosure (you don't need them, so keep them as spare parts 🙂 ).
If you have same question as mine and read this post: I recommend just finish the main build before start building the enclosure. 👍
