Error #10714 after updating FW to 1.8
I have just begun getting error #10714, incorrect RPM reading from UV LED fan, on my SL1. It could, of course, be a faulty fan but I am suspicious as I have just updated the SL1 FW from 1.7 to 1.8.
Is anyone else using FW 1.8 on an SL1 and printing without warnings? I have ignored the error and nothing seems to have got hot.

I have the same Problem. I even replaced all the fans.

Well i get fan errors too. Especially on hot summer days. I just ignore them and continue. After the first layer the fan stops going like crazy and everything works. I bought a new fa,n change i,t but no improvement. It was like that for a while now. I cant remember if it was after an update though. I get the feeling that Prusa doesnt perform proper working tests outside the frame of Prague's climate. I have temperature issues with XL also. And i had with MMU2S also.
RE: Error #10714 after updating FW to 1.8
A month or two ago the screen on my SL1 began to fail so I upgraded to an SL1S. This did not involve changing the fan or the FW, though of course the thing that is being cooled has changed entirely.
Anyway, with the new SL1S configuration the problem no longer occurs. I doubt that Prusa is testing SL1 particularly these days, so it could be the FW, or maybe the LEDs on the SL1S are that much more advanced?

So I checked with wiser people than myself to look at this and they suggested to roll back the firmware that is currently installed if you believe its a firmware issue to double check that.

If it still throws the fan error message on the older firmware, then its a faulty fan that you can get a replacement on the site.

I have already replaced all three fans with original Prusa spare parts. The problem is still the same!
