How to destatic FEP sheet

When I'm putting the vat back onto the printer, I seem to be spending more time trying to get dust off the FEP film than I did cleaning the printer. No matter what I do I can't seem to get rid of the static that is on the FEP. What can I use to remove the static?

I have no idea if this would work or not, but the product sounds interesting.

Dear God, don't spend money on that. Just get a $2 antistatic wrist strap like used for electronics repair. Also be sure you're not running your feet along carpet. Humidify the air in your work area. Dry areas tend to encourage static. Also try a different type of cloth to clean

Or just use an Anti-Static Microfiber Cloth (search Amazon or properly found in local store). As @edward-l7 mention, low humidity gives more static electricity in the air - I have problems with that in the winter time when the humidity is low.

Have a look at my models on Printables.com 😉

Just found this post - was having a really hard time with static fep sticking to the screen, causing two separations to happen on lift - one when the fep unsticks from the LCD and one when the print separates from the fep, resulting in weird partial fails.

Eventual solution - rub an unscented dryer sheet on the fep. Works like a charm!

(printer is an Epax E10)
