Alternatives to isopropanol
I've seen people use methanol/ethanol for their SLA/DLP prints instead of isopropanol which is harder to get(at least where I live).
Is it affecting the prints? Is it a valid replacement?
Re: Alternatives to isopropanol
Depends entirely on the solubility of your resin in each. You may just have to try it and see.
Beware though - methanol is quite a bit more toxic than ethanol or IPA so your exposure should be limited and you should wear appropriate PPE when dealing with it in the quantities you're likely to use for SLA.
Also note they usually contain additives to prevent people from drinking them. A common one is MEK, which will melt many plastics (It's a major component of solvent-welding adhesives) and these can pose problems.
Re: Alternatives to isopropanol
The best alternative to IPA (actually it is better than IPA) is Resinaway.

Good info, thanks for the answers.
I guess experimentation will show the best solution.

It always does 😛
Re: Alternatives to isopropanol
I have been using Meths with Prusa red and orange resins
seems to work ok!
