Tilt bed popping loudly while raising

Hello All,

I have an SL1S and I just started having issues printing a file that I've printed many times.  It seems that the tilt bed pops loudly while raising but only after the first 15 layers once the short exposure time starts.  Has anyone come across this?  I have searched the forum and can't seem to find a resolution to my problem.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

RE: Tilt bed popping loudly while raising

Hiya, first time back in the forum for a while, hence the late reply, but I had something similar: maybe it's a different cause altogether, but it happened to me when trying out a new resin that was particularly viscous. Perhaps the popping started during colder weather, when the room was just a bit cooler than before? Even if you warm the resin first, it will cool down and can become more viscous, which increases the load on the plastic cam that tilts the bed.

When the print switches to the short exposure time (with fast tilt?), perhaps the resin starts getting too stiff? It might be an idea to print with a slow or even the "high viscosity" bed tilt mode?

As I say, perhaps this is totally off the mark, but I'm looking into improving temperature control of the printer and the resin, so that the resins don't get too viscous.

Good luck, hope it all works out!
