Failed first layer and resin volume sensor - strange
I was not able to print the provided examples because the first layer never sticked to the build platform. did recalibrate several times, checked everything regarding the platform alignment ...
I then discovered that the resin volume sensor would fail repetidly if I was standing near the printer ... when I step back one or two meters from the printer during the resin volume calibration, all goes right, the models print allright.
anyone else had this problem ? connectivity problem between sensor cable and tilt platform ? (base and tower tutorial, step 26)
I checked and I moutend like explained but maybe the lock washer didn't bite enough ?
greetings from belgium

That is weird. Are the four feet touching the table?
For prints not sticking, make sure the platform is cleaned with IPA but not the FEP film, else the print will stick on the FEP instead of the platform.

@julien-k
Yes, all feet on the table and printer perfectly level
very often the first resin volume sensing fails, saying the resin level is too high, the second time it passes without problem.
when the tank it full at the 100% line, the resin volume sensor says it's at 80%
(but I haven't had any failed print since the time I posted the message)
RE: Failed first layer and resin volume sensor - strange
I had to clean the bottom of the vat with IPA then the vat sensor stopped being as finicky.

I have exactly the same problem. I will try your solution, hope it will be ok, thanks.
RE: Failed first layer and resin volume sensor - strange
I also found out that when there is too less resin in the tank, the printer will tell me the resin volume is too high and that I have to remove some.
After adding resin, all goes fine
probably only a wrong message being displayed
