Filament detection faulty at elevated environmental temperatures?

I'm having an issue with the filament sensor on my MK3.5. When the temperature in my enclosure goes over 35°C or so, the sensor stops working and will display "ON" as it's status regardless if there is filament in the printhead or not. I would like to know how to fix this.

FYI: firmware is 6.1.3.
