Old buffer vs new buffer sanity check
Is there any reason to use the new buffer if I am 100% satisfied with the old buffer?
I'm planning on taking my MK3/MMU2 out of my lack setup (with the old buffer on top) and put my MK4/MMU3 into the same place. I know the PTFE tubes need to be swapped out but other than that, I'd like to keep the old buffer setup.
Other than a different way of loading the filament through the buffer is there any other advantage of the new buffer that I'm not aware of?
Thanks in advance.

Steve

The modifications they made increase the space for the filament, the pulley cassettes also are positioned more outward for this purpose.
I had read on their blog, that there was more filament length to rewind with the MMU3 setup.

RE: Old buffer vs new buffer sanity check
I wound up keeping my old buffer (new ptfe tubes). All works absolutely fantastic. The cassettes apparently are just for ease of loading, but since I have no issues loading the old buffer I found there was no need to change buffers.
Everyone's setup is different depending on space available, The new cassette type of buffer just did not offer my setup any advantages.
