What is a good range for stamping distance?

I am using a MK3s+ with MMU2S. Lately, my multilateral prints have been getting a lot of strings, both PLA and PETG.  I'd like to use the new stamping feature but I can't find a description of the range for stamping distance.  Can someone share the stamping distances they use as a starting point?

Thanks

TJ

RE:

it is very hard to guess what the parameters are changing, especially stamping distance.

Since it is from the center of the cooling tube, my understanding is that the distance is how much it is going back to the nozzle but it is just one of the question I have for these parameters.

when I change the value from 45 to 0 and check the gcode around TOOLCHANGE UNLOAD part, it doesn't reflect the change: G1 E~~ is exactly the same...

It's that time of year again.  Before changing settings make certain the filaments are dry.

Cheerio,
