MK3S (Not +) compatible with MMU3?
Hi everyone! My bad... I didn't realize MMU3 is only compatible with the MK3S+ version (I have the MK3S). So, I figured that out after I received the MMU3 upgrade package. But well... I managed to install it anyway, and it works, not the best way, but it works. I've been researching the differences between both versions. There are three major ones: the Super Pinda (gives better first layers), a new IR sensor, and a different PTFE tube (some minor changes in dimension). I could buy the MK3S+ upgrade, but for me (I live in Argentina), it's really expensive.
Is the upgrade really necessary? Has anyone else tried installing it anyway?
Thank you very much!

You don't need to buy the MK3+ upgrade kit. I setup my MK3S with the MMU3 without doing the + upgrade and it worked fine.
Upgrading the extender to the MK3S+ parts allows you to use the nice sensor adjustment parts that come with the MMU3.

Great! Thanks!

Yeah I have an MK3S and I just printed out the extruder parts for the MK3S+ and the MMU3 worked like a charm.
