MK3S+ forces filament out when approaching the print after filament has run out

Hi!

My MK3S+ unit behaves quite oddly when the filament has run out mid print. After I have changed fresh spool and MMU3 has fed it to extruder and I have set that filament is changed correctly,  the extruder forces filament out so hard that the extruder starts  skipping when moving towards the print. It leaves nice thick  line from front right corner, where filament change took place, back to the print. And also leave big blob of filament side of the print. This started to occur after I installed the MMU3 unit to my printer. I have latest firmwares in both units. The printer and MMU3 works fine otherwise, no under/over-extrusion, not a single jam after MMU3 installation. And this doesn't happen when MMU3 changes filament to other color, only when the filament runs out.

I too am looking for resolution for the exact same issue.

The only way I have found to get the printer to behave after the filament change is to unload the MMU manually from the rear.

Do NOT use the "eject" feature as this seems to be what causes the massive over extrusion.

I couldn't figure out how to edit my previous post....

I wanted to say that I also played around with the filament sensor settings i.e. Filament sensor on/off, F Runout on/off, Auto Load on/off, FS Action cont/pause

I tried all combinations of available settings, but they didn't seem to make any difference.  I even tried turning the filament sensor itself to off.  I would have expected an error at this point, but it acted like it was still switched on.

The filament sensor settings must have a use, since they are made available, but I couldn't tell any difference.
