MMU3 + MK3.5S a great, reliable experience or MK4S takes the throne?
Hello et all
I upgraded some time ago my MK3S+ to a MK3.5S, but seeing how great the new MK3X platform improvend over the old MK3S+, I think maybe this could be a great step towards MMU3 with multi-color printing.
Would a MK3.5S + MMU3 a good idea? I have seen tons of people complaining about reliability with it. Things getting clogged, error with first layer and different filaments, so my question to the broader audience here, and not Google search, what is the actual experience from all of you with MMU3 and MK3.5S? Is it worth putting a MMU3 unit on this printer or better get a MK4S or wait for the Core ONE to get it?
RE:
I've been running an MMU3 on my Mk3.5 for over a year and extremely happy with it's functionality. Just upgraded to Mk3.5s and it stayed extremely reliable. My original MMU3 / Mk3s extruder used to be finicky and need attention/tuning from time to time. However, I resolved all of my early issues with updated parts off printables.com for both the MMU3 and extruder.
I have also been running revo six rapid change heater core/nozzles on this setup with good success.
