MMU3 filament load failure

I have a MK4 that I upgraded to a MK4S and then I added a MMU3. It printed perfectly fine after the S upgrade. I can load all filaments to the MMU and it will print through the MMU3 if I pre-load all of the way to the print head. However, if I start a print without a filament loaded all of the way to the print head or there is a color change then it fails to load the filament all the way to the print head.

What I have done:

  • I have made sure the filaments are trimmed and loaded in the MMU before starting the print
  • Shortened the PTFE tube to minimum length
  • Re-flashed the MMU
  • Re-flashed the printer
  • Removed and added printer in Prusa Slicer
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled Prusa Slicer

Please help.

This is the first problem I have had with this printer in the 2.5  years I have owned it. I don't have the time to dig into the settings every print. Nor do I have the desire to manipulate G-code to get it to work. I am a hobbyist and I want to print multiple color prints and I am pulling what little hair I have out messing with this thing.

Thank you in advance for y'all's help.
