MMU works but wipe tower came off

So I assembled my MMU3 for my MK4 and started a test print. It actually worked fine, but the wipe tower didn't stick to the plate. The print finished but there were some spaghetti around the printer and some of it merged with the object.

Is this a common issue? It didn't look like the first layer of the wipe tower was actually covering the entire area of the tower, so there was less material adhering to the plate.

I believe I have exactly the same issue. Print worked well. Spaghetti wipe tower.

Any idea what I did wrong or what to do?

at a guess, I would say that you probably had poor adhesion.

I Wash my build plate with HOT WATER AND DISH SOAP,  rubbing vigorously with a new dish sponge, then  rinse well with fresh hot water and dry immediately with  plain paper towels (both sides), (Keeping  your fingers OFF the print surface)and then I put the heatbed on the printer and bring it up to print temperature.
I do not use Isopropyl alcohol...

And I usually use 70C on the heatbed for PLA

Thanks for your tips 👍

I use the texture sheet and clean it with IPA 90% all the time. My bed temperature is at 60.

I will try out the higher temperature and cleaning it as you suggested.

Will the satin sheet be a better option for PLA?

I use textured and satin interchangeably and rarely use smooth, because I feel it's more fragile.

RE: MMU works but wipe tower came off

I find as I am printing over days with a full color print that the printer could deposit a bump, not sure why it does this but often I get a crash alert only to find the print head has dislodged the wipe tower. Then I have to scramble to find some double sided tape and hope to tape the wipe tower back on. But often is the case I get to the print and it ripped off in the middle of the night and now it can't be saved. Hours and even days of printing wasted for a print that could be just an hour away from completion. I have seen it where the software when it can not trigger the finda in the extruder it pushes the filament through into the extruder only to create a blob on the wipe tower. When I hear it crash it is hitting this blob. This all sounds like poor programming seeing as the distance to the extruder should be pretty accurate from the MMU3, or the software could determine averages based on successful finda captures. And then when the filament goes past without a finda that it does not push it through.

But then I have a MK3S+ and it is very apparent Prusa has washed their hands of this model and requires me to upgrade to get any support. But for the cost of the upgrade I can buy a printer I do not need to pay currency exchange and tariffs on.
