How much space behind the MMU3 is ideal?
I purchased an MMU3, I am currently assembling it to attach to my MK3S+. I was wondering how much space is needed behind the unit for the filament spools? I have about 50 cm of space behind the MK3S+ rails. Is this reasonable?
Is the PTFE lines are too long, should one cut them to avoid bends?
Thanks for any advice!

Hello, do you already know the answer? and one more question. Do you know the height of the printer with the addition of the MMU3?
Sorry for my poor English. I try to do my best.

It all depends upon how you position the spool. ABTH the spools don't have to be place right behind the MMU. There are 100s of pics showing how people are routing their filament into the MMU, but the only real limitation is that your placement and tubing configuration doesn't cause excessive drag on the filament during MMU operation. As a litmus test, if you can pull your filament through your routing system and the MMU without having to apply more force than it takes roll up a 3 foot wide window blind with a pull chain the you should be good to go. And if you ditch the filament buffer (many do) and go with some sort of spool rewinding mechanism, ensure the rewinder does pull the filament out of the MMU once its unloaded.
Other than that let your imagination soar, after all you have a 3D printer.
