Changing first layer color with MMU3 (in SLicer?)
Hi,
I have a question on the change of the first layer color when printing two colors with MMU3 and MK4. I have cut the model (below) of methane cut in two parts and printed it having loaded white filament to line 1 and black to line 2. The point is that the first layer was printed with white, while it should be with black. As a result, after I sticked two parts together there is a white line on the black part. Is there any trick to change the color of the first layer in Slicer or should I load black filament to line 1 and white to line 2?

could you please attach a zip compressed copy of your project file for this model.

RE: Changing first layer color with MMU3 (in SLicer?)
Hi Joan,
sorry for bothering on the forum. I did not save the project. Moreover, I solved the issue by coloring with the use of 'smart fill'. However, I have another question. I starter to print the same methane (first layer is OK now) but I see two colors are used, while it is not necessary at that stage and the printer changes filament frequently causing some waste of time... The current (correct at the first layer) project is zipped and attached. The question is how to force printer to use only one color (black in this case) as long as white is not needed? .ch4.3mf

Unfortunately not.
the model is using Painted parts and they have cores under the surface which mess up colour separation.
