pits in top layer

So I finally got my machine running back to satisfactory results. My only issue is now that every thing else is working fine but my top layers are horrible and top layer of every print comes out with pits in them, I'm not really sure what would cause this. I dont think its underextrusion sense the rest of the prints fine it seems only effected on external layers. I dont think I've changed any slic3r settings so I'm not really sure what has changed. I downgraded from the latest firmware which did improve my print quality but did not change any effect on the external (top) layers. There is a photo below for reference. Thanks for all your help, this community rocks.

RE: pits in top layer

I forgot i did update my slic3r program last night. my top layers are still 3 layers and before this was perfectly fine. I don't understand why this bot has so many issues. Fixing one issue automatically makes another issue happen. I just want to print some thing with out it requiring to fix the bot in between prints lol. I was hoping to get a farm of these going but i might have to consider a different bot if these are problomatic.

RE: pits in top layer

does any one know what the previous version of slic3r default infill was? and did it change from the last couple versions to the most recent version? that's about the only thing I can think of that changed? I thought user profiles stayed intact while upgrading prusaslic3r but maybe that changed? im trying a different infill pattern to see if things go back to normal. My current pattern is "stars" I'm not sure if that's the same as previous version before i upgraded or not.
