Steel textured AND smooth build sheet holes do not line up

Pretty much what the title says. I have just completed the build on a MK3s and it is printing well. However, the build sheet holes do not align with the protruding screws on the mounted build plate. It has me perplexed as everything else had such high quality tolerances. Any info on what might be the problem. Thanks

Support says that is how is now. WTF, Josef Prusa himself states otherwise in this YouTube video....

He talks about at (5:06) in the video. Build plate does NOT look right as it cannot cover the main build surface where the screws are.

Can you post photos?  I think I know what you are saying, but the holes are not for the screws.  That is if it is the holes you are referring to.

I am just going to use it as is, it works fine. I was just confused as Josef Prusa himself shows the screws being used. I guess they changed it.

RE: Steel textured AND smooth build sheet holes do not line up

Early Build plates had a long single notch at the back for location against the alignment screws and two circular holes at the front which were intended for suspending the sheets during powder coating.

prusa had issues with early powder coated build plates so these holes were largely redundant on PEI sticker coated sheets, because the PEI Stickers covered the holes.

Later build sheets came out with two small V notches at the rear of the build plates. and they still had the two holes at the front for manufacturing purposes

looking for example pictures it seems that the latest build plates may have gone back to the single long cutout.

if you did manage to get the two small holes over the alignment screws, all of the text would be facing the back of the printer
