Selector Drum that won't slip or split

Still a WIP - I made the gear teeth too loose - but here's where I've been doing with the selector drum:

I printed it in PLA hoping it would be more stiff that the PETg ones I've used before. It seems to give less when going over the bondtech gears. Since the gear's tight, it's not quite alligned right, though it turns very smooth and easily on its axis I fear there may be a snug spot when held against the springs.

I made this because I've always thought it should be made, but specifically to combat this weird behavior I keep getting:

With this drum I get a very weak homing bump, again, lifting on the idler seems to help it find a sudden enough impact to trigger a home repeatably. I assume turning up current or speed would fix this, but feel a bit out on my own here.

Still needs the gear hole opened up or a Manly Man to force the gear in. But I've been using it for weeks and it's awesome.
