PC does not find MMU2S board

I connected the MMU2S board to my PC via micro USB and would like to flash the firmware.

Does the MMU2S board need anything other than micro-USB cable and the power supply cable?

My MK2S printer was upgraded to MK2.5S and made a weird high pitched static noise when I had everything connected.  The screen didn't light up at all.  I'm troubleshooting by making small changes and testing the results.

I was able to find the Mini Rambo on my Windows PC and flash the firmware after disconnecting everything except the power and USB type-B.

The same strategy didn't work for the MMU2S board.

Are all connectors to the MMU2 and the Rambo correctly mounted? To flash the MMU2 firmware you only need the micro usb cable and the printer must be switched on.

Take a look at these pages: https://help.prusa3d.com/en/guide/6-electronics-and-mmu2s-unit-assembly_44728

RE: PC does not find MMU2S board

Jakub Dolezal was able to help me in Instant Chat.  The LCD pins were upside down.  Typically the magneta wire is pin #1.  On the Mini RAMBo, the magenta wire is pin #9.  I flipped the two 2x5 connectors upside-down and was able to get everything working afterwards.

I would like to suggest that you follow the standard where the magenta is pin #1 on the 2x5 connector.  Also, it would be nice to have a power LED on the MM controller to make it easier to tell if the board is dead.
