MMU2S Filament 1 can't be loaded. Idler body issue.
Recently, my MMU2S idler's screw was loose after I tight the screws, the MMU2S cna't load the filament 1. And I found my idler is a little bit lean, like the picture below.
Anyone had the same issue or any idea to slove this ?
I had checked the screw of idler motor is tight. The idler moves freely. Filament 2 to 5 loaded normally.
RE: MMU2S Filament 1 can't be loaded. Idler body issue.
Finally, I found out the screw broke the idler, which made a small crack on the side. the crack make the idler rotated unevenly.
So I print a new ideler and probem solved.

Thanks for the post. I am experiencing the same issue and will investigate further. Not an easy problem to solve.

The MMU3 has an aluminium part instead of the printed clamp, to overcome this issue, so in the future it will be different, which unfortunately doesn't help, now.
Karl's steel rings is one solution,
there are modified assembly's with heavier motor clamps on the various repositories. which may help in the mean time

RE: MMU2S Filament 1 can't be loaded. Idler body issue.
Upon disassembly I could not find any cracks in the idler or the idler body support arms, so going on the excellent support on this topic I made a new idler cylinder re assembled the MMU2S and that appears to fix my problem with feed failure on the F1 and F2.
Thanks to all for the suggestions.
