Idler rattling at power up
Hi folks,
After a failed Individual Filament Calibration on my MMU2 (MK2.5) my Idler started to make a loud rattling sound when I power up the printer (like a machine gun).
How do I fix this?
Thank's in advance for your help!

Is it coming from the idler or the selector?
If the idler, it's probably normal.
If the selector, there's probably filament stuck in the MMU which is preventing the selector head from moving.
Re: Idler rattling at power up
The idler is knocking for a few seconds and then the selector moves all the way to the left and bumps on the left endstop grinding for a few seconds... After this "initialisation sequence" everything seems to work as expected.
It happens almost at each printer power up and if not, it happens the first time I use the MMU rightmost button to move the selector to the next position...

This sounds like normal behavior. You're observing the homing sequence of the MMU.

Thank you for your reply!
I feel that it is a quite rude calibration routine.
I was afraid that it would break something with time...
